Professional Experiences

Systems Engineer - Philips Healthcare, Bothell, WA

Philips Healthcare is a global manufacturer of medical diagnostic devices in modalities such as Ultra Sound, Cardio Vascular, X-Ray, Computerized Tomography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging. The Global Systems Engineering / Remote Services Network supports the Field Service team proactively manage devices. My responsibilities were directed to support and improvement of core infrastructure in the RSN. While there I built Windows Server 2008 R2 / SQL 2008 R2 High Availability Clusters in a VMware ESXi environment, upgraded and managed the HP Data Protector v6.20 Enterprise Backup solution, replaced the solution with the Microsoft System Center Data Protection Manager 2012 product, deployed Veeam Backup and Replication v6.5 for the Vmware infrastructure and deployed a Windows Key Management System (KMS) for Windows Activation in the network.

BI Build Engineer - Inviso, Bellevue WA

Inviso specializes in business intelligence, marketing, consulting, staffing and software asset management. As a Business Intelligence Build Engineer I worked with software developers to deploy code releases and QFE updates to various internal web-based applications in a Windows Server 2008 R2 / SQL Server 2008 R2 High Availability Cluster environment.

Service Engineer - Insight Global, Bellevue, WA

Insight Global is a nation-wide provider of IT staff to companies world-wide. While at Microsoft working as a Service Engineer in Product Quality Online (PQO) I provided support for Windows Live Solution Center (WLSC). Windows Live Solution Center is a community-based support application for Windows Live properties such as Hotmail, SkyDrive, Messenger, etc. allowing problem submission and resolution by contract moderators and MVPs within a 24 hour SLA.

The application consists of 6 Mirrored SQL 2008 Servers, 31 virtualized W2K8 R2 Web Servers on 11 W2K8R2 Hyper-V host servers using W2K8 R2, IIS7.5, SQL2008, and SCOM for monitoring and alerting.

I worked with a team consisting of developers, business unit managers, MS Support Desk, the PQO and GFS Infrastructure teams to transfer the application to PQO. I'm responsible for deploying application upgrades / QFEs, and database administration. I've created the Operations Guide, KB articles and supporting documentation and establishing SCOM Monitoring.

Systems Engineer - Siemens IT Solutions, Redmond, WA

Siemens IT Solutions is a leading provider of IT services and staff to companies world-wide. I work as a Systems Engineer in Global Foundation Services on Microsoft’s Redmond West campus with responsibilities to provide comprehensive hardware, application and network support for multiple development and testing environments by deploying and maintaining virtual machines using Hyper-V on the Windows Server 2008 R2 platform.

Channel Support Manager - SpamLion, Inc., Rohnert Park, CA

At SpamLion, a start-up that created the SpamLion Sender Validation Gateway anti-spam solution, I was responsible for all aspects of marketing and support, including creation and support of the reseller channel for which I provided training, installation, and remote support services.

Product Manager - Web Habitat, Inc., Rohnert Park, CA

At Web Habitat, a developer of custom corporate web-based applications in education and content distribution and the parent company of SpamLion, I coordinated product development on the SpamLion Sender Validation Gateway anti-spam product.

Technical Consultant - Infogenics, Inc., Redwood City, CA

Infogenics was one of the largest Microsoft Great Plains Solution Partners in the San Francisco – San Jose area, specializing in Dynamics and Siebel CRM implementations for technology and distribution companies in Silicon Valley. I worked with customers to build the infrastructure to support our solutions and developed a live, interactive product demo environment—“Test Drive”—of the Siebel CRM and Great Plains ERP applications.

Senior Network Engineer - Acuson (Siemens), Inc., Mountain View, CA

Acuson, now a part of Siemens, manufactures medical ultra sound equipment with offices in the US, Europe, and Asia. While there I worked with the Windows Server Technology team responsible for architecture, installation and support of servers throughout the world.
